Özet Giriş: Sivil savunma ve itfaiyecilik alanında mesleki bilgi ve beceriye sahip nitelikli insan kaynağını oluşturmak amacıyla üniversiteler bünyesinde açılan programların profil analizinin (programın mevcut durumu, ders müfredatı, özel şartları, öğretim elemanlarının nitelikleri vb) yapılması önem arz etmektedir. Amaç: Türkiye’de ön lisans düzeyinde eğitim ve öğretim hizmetleri sunan sivil savunma ve itfaiyecilik programının mevcut durumunu, eğitim müfredatını, öğretim elemanlarının eğitim durumları, unvanları ve mezun oldukları lisans alanlarını belirlemektir. Yöntem: Çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi yapılarak hazırlanmıştır. Veriler, YÖK Atlas internet sitesinden elde edilmiştir. Bu yöntemle tanımlanan 43 üniversitenin internet sayfasından program hakkındaki veriler alınmış ve akademisyen isimleri listelenmiştir. Daha sonra “YÖK Akademik Arama” portalından 129 akademisyenin eğitim bilgileri alınmış ve analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: 2021/2022 eğitim ve öğretim döneminde 43 devlet üniversitesinde yer alan programlara toplamda 2.517 öğrenci kabul etmiştir. Programda görevli toplamda 129 öğretim elemanı bulunmaktadır. Öğretim elemanlarının mezun oldukları fakülteler incelendiğinde mühendislik fakültesi sağlık bilimleri fakültesi ve iktisadi ve idari bilimler fakültesi ön plana çıkmaktadır. Sonuç: Programın eğitim ve öğretim kalitesini arttırmak için üniversitelerde uygulama alanlarının yapılması, mesleki tecrübeye sahip öğretim elemanının istihdam edilmesi, çekirdek ders müfredatının uygulanması ve programın itfaiye teşkilatı bulunan ve yeterli imkana sahip merkezi yerlerde açılması gibi koşulların sağlanması önem arz etmektedir. Abstract Introduction: In order to create qualified human resources with professional knowledge and skills in the field of civil defense and firefighting, it is important to analyze the profiles of the programs opened within the universities (current status of the program, course curriculum, special conditions, qualifications of the instructors, etc.). Purpose: To determine the current status of the civil defense and firefighting program, which provides education and training services at the associate degree level in Turkey, the training curriculum, the educational status of the instructors, their titles and the undergraduate fields they graduated from. Methods: The study was prepared by making document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. The data were obtained from the YÖK Atlas website. Data about the program were obtained from the web pages of 43 universities defined by this method and the names of the academicians were listed. Then, educational information of 129 academicians was obtained from the "YÖK Academic Search" portal and analyzed. Results: In the 2021/2022 academic year, a total of 2,517 students were admitted to the programs in 43 state universities. There are 129 instructors in total working in the program. When the faculties from which the lecturers graduated are examined, the faculty of engineering, the faculty of health sciences and the faculty of economics and administrative sciences come to the fore. Conclusion: In order to increase the education and training quality of the program, it is important to provide conditions such as making application areas in universities, employing teaching staff with professional experience, implementing the core course curriculum, and opening the program in central places with fire brigades and sufficient facilities.
